Fireman in ICU after attack by protesters


PETALING JAYA: A fireman is in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of a hospital in Subang Jaya after being attacked by protesters at the Sri Maha Mariamman Devasthanam temple early Tuesday (Nov 27) morning.

According to a spokesman from the Selangor Fire and Rescue Department Muhammad Adib Mohd Kassim (pic) is in critical condition at the Ramsay Sime Darby Medical Centre.

It is believed that he is suffering from internal injuries.

A group who had congregated at the Sri Maha Mariamman Devasthanam temple turned rowdy when they smashed glass panels at the One City Mall early Tuesday (Nov 27).

A car there was also damaged in the incident that occurred at around 2.30am.

The group had assembled near the temple where three cars were badly damaged during a riot early Monday.
