Cracks in homes, lamp posts collapse after non-stop rain in Perak

IPOH: Continuous rain in several parts of Perak have left a trail of destruction, causing landslips and homes to crack.

A Fire and Rescue Department spokesman said earth movement was reported at an orang asli village at Kg Pawong in Pos Raya near Simpang Pulai.

He said cracks appeared on several houses but there were no casualties in the 3pm incident on Tuesday (Oct 23).

In Gopeng, a land erosion caused several lamp posts to collapse.

The incident took place at a residential area at Jalan Desa Cahaya 1 in Lawan Kuda at about 3.50pm.

The situation is being monitored.
