KOTA KINABALU: The Immigration Depart­ment has denied a statement from its state chief that the registration of the special IMM13 pass for Filipino refugees was open to their children.

Immigration Department director-general Datuk Seri Mustafar Ali said there was a misunderstanding which had led to hundreds or probably thousands of IMM13 holders rushing to the Immigration office in Wisma Dang Bandang last week.
