Tourism Ministry wants staggered school holidays to prevent overcrowding at tourist spots

GEORGE TOWN (Bernama): The Tourism, Arts and Culture Ministry will propose staggered school holidays to spur the tourism sector and to reduce crowds at local tourist hotspots.

Deputy Minister Muhammad Bakhtiar Wan Chik said they were currently working on the proposal that would only apply for shorter breaks in March, June and September.
