IGP: Rosmah to be called up to assist in 1MDB investigations

PUTRAJAYA: The Inspector-General of Police says that Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor could be called up to give her statement as part as their investigation into 1MDB.

“Our investigations are still ongoing and conducted in conjunction with the MACC. There is a possibility that we will call in Datin Seri Rosmah,” said Tan Sri Mohamad Fuzi Harun at a press conference at the Putrajaya hospital here.

He however, did not give a time frame on when the police intended to call her in.

“They are a lot of issues, but yes, among them include our investigations into 1MDB,” he said when asked on what they plan to question her on.

Earlier today (Oct 4), Rosmah pleaded not guilty to all 17 charges of money laundering, involving about RM7mil.

The charges framed against her are under the Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Terrorism Financing and Proceeds of Unlawful Activities Act (AMLATFPUAA) 2001.
