PETALING JAYA: An investigation will be conducted into allegations that three Armed Forces personnel are still assigned as security personnel protecting.
Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein, said Defence Minister Mohamad Sabu.
"The necessary action will be taken if there is any infringement of rules and regulations," he said in a Facebook post on Saturday (Aug 25).
He was commenting on a report by Malaysiakini saying that the three were still assigned to Hishammuddin.
The portal reported that two Navy special operations force (Paskal) officers and a commando were still working as escorts for Hishammuddin.
The portal claimed the two Paskal officers are still on active duty and are to serve the armed forces until 2020 and 2021 respectively.
Details of the commando are scant, but sources have said that he was photographed with Hishammuddin earlier this week.Already a subscriber? Log in
