GEORGE TOWN: An hour-long freak storm brought down billboards and fallen branches on the island, creating traffic jams on some roads.
The storm which started at around 9pm created strong winds which brought down big branches from trees along Jalan Masjid Negeri, Jalan Trengganu, Jalan Free School and Sungai Pinang, with some falling on parked cars by the roadside.
