SERDANG: Six people were arrested over the murder of a man who was killed in a fit of jealousy and his body thrown into a jungle.

"On July 8, the body of an Indonesian man was found in the jungle near a housing area along Jalan Impian Indah," said Serdang OCPD Asst Comm Ismadi Borhan.

"Follow up investigations showed that the victim had multiple stab wounds on the neck, waist and wrist areas," he added when contacted Thursday.

Police also found a wallet, the victim's documents and his motorcycle near where his body was found.

"The motive has been identified as a misunderstanding stemming from jealousy.

"Police arrested four people on the same day in Serdang. Follow up investigations led to two more arrests on July 10, in Nilai and Kajang," he added.

A machete, believed to have been used as the murder weapon, was seized.

Remand orders have been obtained for all six suspects, aged in their 20s and 30s. All have been remanded for seven days.

"The investigation paper has been completed and this case has been as solved,"  ACP Ismadi said.
