KUALA LUMPUR: The six-year-old daughter of ATM FA midfielder Venice Elphi was discovered dead early this morning, as the footballer and his wife had left to get treatment for their second child.
According to sources, Venice and his wife Kpl Michille Marsheila anak Umbek had left the house at 2.30am on Monday (June 2) to bring their child to the Tuanku Mizan Armed Forces Hospital to get a nebuliser for the two-year-old’s asthma.
Upon reaching their apartment at 3.30am, the parents discovered Francisca Deborah lying down in the apartment block’s parking lot, having fallen from five storeys from their unit.
Although they shouted for help, they could not be heard over the heavy rain, and the parents brought their child to Hospital Kuala Lumpur.
The sources said the post-mortem was expected to be carried out at 7.30am, and both parents were still at HKL’s critical zone.
The Professional Footballers’ Association of Malaysia (PFAM) have also tweeted their condolences in relation to the family’s tragedy.
