Bagan Serai MP quits Umno, pledges support for Pakatan Harapan

BAGAN SERAI : Bagan Serai MP Datuk Dr Noor Azmi Ghazali has quit Umno and Barisan Nasional.

Dr Noor Azmi told a press conference here on Sunday (June 24) that he would be an independent MP

"It was not an easy decision and one that I've thought over many times. I have to take into account the people's welfare. The people voted me as their representative and it is important for me to continue my services to the people," he added.

Dr Noor Azmi said he would pledge his support to the Pakatan Harapan government and Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.

"I will also support Perak Mentri Besar Ahmad Faizal Azumu and the state government. I hope the people will understand and accepted my decision," he added.
