Man dies after car crashes into concrete wall at Glenmarie


SHAH ALAM: A man died after he lost control of his vehicle and rammed into a motorcycle before crashing into a concrete wall at Glenmarie here.

Selangor traffic investigation and enforcement department chief Supt Azman Shari’at said the incident occurred at 1.34pm on Monday (June 4).

“The driver was travelling from Jalan Pengaturcara when his car rammed into a motorcycle at the Persiaran Kerjaya-Jalan Pengatucara junction.

“The impact of the accident caused the vehicle to climb up an embankment before hitting the wall,” he said, adding that the driver died at the scene.

He said the Bangladeshi motorcyclist suffered multiple injuries and was rushed to the Shah Alam Hospital.

“The deceased was identified as Yahya Ismail, 42,” he said, adding that the case was classified as reckless driving under Section 41 of the Road Transport Act.

Pictures of the accident were shared on social media and WhatsApp and showed the mangled motorcycle at the scene.

The motorcyclist was thrown into a drain at the scene.
