Shafie's convoy barred from entering Istana Negeri


KOTA KINABALU: Parti Warisan Sabah president Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal headed to Istana Negeri to swear in as the new chief minister but his convoy was not allowed to enter.

Shafie and his convey reached the Istana road at about 10.15am on Thursday but were stopped and forced to turn back.

Policemen, who have set up roadblocks at the entrance to the Istana road during the wee hours of Thursday, informed Shafie that they could not go to Istana as yet.

Some of Shafie's group is now waiting along the roadside while Shafie himself and many others have returned to his house for further instructions.
