Nurul Izzah wins suit


KUALA LUMPUR: Lembah Pantai MP Nurul Izzah Anwar has been awarded RM1mil in damages by a High Court here in her suit against former Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar and Rural and Regional Development Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.

Nurul Izzah sued Khalid and Ismail Sabri three years ago for implying that she had committed treason after a photograph of her with Jacel Kiram, the daughter of Jamalulail Kiram who is said to have led the intrusion into Sabah in 2013, was published.
