Cabinet has last meeting: It’s a wrap, says Rahman Dahlan

PETALING JAYA: The Cabinet met for the last time on Friday, with Datuk Seri Abdul Rahman Dahlan calling it a "wrap".

"It's a wrap! For now… God willing, we shall return to this room again," the Minister in the Prime Minister's Department said in an Instagram post on Friday.

The post was a picture of him with fellow Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong and Youth and Sports Minister Khairy Jamaluddin after the last Cabinet meeting on Friday morning.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak is expected to announce the dissolution of parliament at 11.45am at the Putra Perdana complex in Putrajaya.

Following the announcement, all state legislative assemblies, save for Sarawak, are expected to apply for dissolution to ensure simultaneous parliamentary and state elections.

The exact nomination and polling dates will be decided by the Election Commission and announced later.

The general election must be held within 60 days of Parliament's dissolution.
