Thaipusam kicks off in Penang with procession of chariots

GEORGE TOWN: The procession of the chariots to mark the beginning of Thaipusam began here Tuesday morning.

The golden chariot, which made its debut last year, left the Sri Maha Mariamman Temple on Queen Street at 5.05am.
