Cops looking for motorcyclist who fled crash scene in Simpang Empat

KANGAR: Police are looking for a man who is believed to have fled after his motorcycle crashed into another motorcycle in Simpang Empat killing its rider.

Kangar District Police chief Supt Wari Kiew said that the victim — Mohd Al Afiq Roshaidi, 18, from Mata Ayer — died on the spot in the Monday 1.45am incident.

Initial investigations found that the motorcycle used by the individual who fled the scene was stolen.

"The motorcyclist is believed to have hit Al Afiq's motorcycle when the latter tried to turn at a junction. Al Afiq succumbed to serious head and body injuries," Supt Wari told reporters here.

He called on hospitals and private clinics with knowledge of an injured individual seeking treatment to inform the police immediately. - Bernama
