PETALING JAYA: A 27-year-old man was killed in an accident involving his superbike and a car at Ara Damansara here.
Petaling Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Zani Che Din said the incident occurred at about 10am Thursday (Dec 28) at Jalan 1A/4A.
ACP Mohd Zani said that the incident was believed to have occurred when the car was coming out of a junction when the bike hit the right side of the vehicle.
He said the motorcyclist has bee identified as Luqman Hakim Mohd Tahir from Hutan Melintang, Perak, adding that he was pronounced dead at the scene by Universiti Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC) staff.
ACP Mohd Zani said the driver has been identified as a 38-year-old Pakistani lecturer and that he escaped unhurt.
He added that there was CCTV footage of the incident while police have classified the case under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for reckless driving.
