IGP's wife Azizah Hamdi dies after battling cancer


KUALA LUMPUR: Puan Sri Azizah Hamdi (pic), the wife of Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Mohamad Fuzi Harun, passed away at the Universiti Malaya Medical Centre (PPUM) on Friday.



According to Bukit Aman corporate communications chief Senior Asst Comm Datin Asmawati Ahmad, Azizah passed away at 7.02pm. 

According to some media reports, Azizah, aged 58, had succumbed to cancer.

“The body will be taken to the Selangor police headquarters mosque from PPUM and she will be buried at Kampung Halaman at Rapat Jaya, Ipoh,” SAC Asmawati said in her statement.
