Jelebu MP Zainudin Ismail dies


SEREMBAN: Jelebu MP Datuk Zainudin Ismail (pix) passed away at his home in Villa Puteri in Kuala Lumpur at 7.30pm today (Dec 6). He was 58.

Jelebu Umno head and Pertang assemblyman Datuk Jalaluddin Alias said Zainuddin, a first term MP, died due to complications from a brain tumour he suffered last year.

Zainudin was first admitted at the Kuala Lumpur Hospital after he collapsed at his home in Kuala Klawang on May 13 last year.

"His death is a great loss to Umno and he has contributed immensely to party work especially in Jelebu," said Jalaluddin, also the state exco for urban wellbeing,  housingban and community development.

Zainudin, a business administration graduate from Universiti Malaya, has three children.

He was appointed chairman of LGM Properties Corporation, a body under the Malaysian Rubber Board.
