Ministry to set up unit to monitor rising food prices

IPOH: The Domestic Trade, Co-operatives and Consumerism Ministry has been directed to form a special unit to check on soaring food prices.

Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said while the Cabinet was looking into issues of rising cost of living, the Ministry should direct its officers to check on cases of extreme profiteering especially by middlemen.
