Elderly hiker goes missing in Bukit Lagong forest

PETALING JAYA: A 75-year-old hiker has been reported missing after an excursion into the Bukit Lagong forest.

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant director (operations) Mohd Sani Harul said that the man was a part of a 90-person group that had gone into the area.

He was believed to have lost his way, and was reported missing at 4.30pm on Monday (Nov 6).

A search and rescue operation has been launched.

Mohd Sani said the department has dispatched 13 personnel for the rescue effort.
