GEORGE TOWN: The Malaysian Armed Forces (ATM) personnel have come to the aid of flood victims in Penang.
Defence Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein shared the information on his Facebook page around 11.30am Sunday.
He said that the armed forces are in several areas in Penang including north, south and central Seberang Perai as well as the southwest and northeast districts.
"As of now, ATM has successfully transported those in affected areas to safer ground, cleaned up blocked lanes and assisted in cleaning operations in the affected areas.
"The ATM will continue to help with whatever can be done. Let us pray together, hopefully the situation there will recover as soon as possible," he said.
