KUALA LUMPUR: The Federal Government has done much to lift the Indian community so it will not be neglected, marginalised or left behind, says Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak (pic), which has led to some calling the Prime Minister the "father of Indian community development".

Najib said he had given special attention to the Indian community even before he became Prime Minister, and had initiated a Cabinet committee on Indian affairs after getting the green light from then-prime minister Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi.
