KOTA BARU: The state government will gazette places for public caning but the Syariah Court will decide whether to impose the punishment inside or outside the prison walls.
Deputy Mentri Besar Datuk Mohd Amar Nik Abdullah said public caning need not be held in open spaces like the stadium.
