PMO: Agong's official birthday moved from July 29 to Sept 9


PETALING JAYA: The Government has agreed to move the official birthday of Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Muhammad V (pic) from July 29 to Sept 9.

"The Government has agreed to move the birthday celebration of His Highness Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Muhammad V for the year 2017 from Saturday, July 29 2017 to Saturday, Sep 9, 2017," according to a statement issued by the Prime Minister's Department on Thursday.

The amendment will be in effect for the next five years under the rule of Sultan Muhammad V, from 2017 to 2021.
