Traders stage peaceful protest outside state assembly complex

GEORGE TOWN: Eight traders staged a peaceful protest outside the gates of the state assembly building in Light Street here.

The protesters, most of whom are food sellers, are unhappy that they have not been compensated after their stalls along Jalan Mak Mandin in Butterworth were demolished in March.
