AirAsia X flight encounters severe turbulence, five passengers injured

PETALING JAYA: Five passengers were injured when an AirAsia X flight from Taipei to Kuala Lumpur encountered severe turbulence on Thursday.

In a statement on Friday, the airline said flight D7377 en route to Kuala Lumpur from Taipei with 291 passengers and 11 crewmembers on board, encountered the turbulence mid-flight.
