DPM: Rela can help boost border control

PUTRAJAYA: Utilising the services of the People’s Volunteer Corps (Rela) to assist the Malaysian Border Security Agency (Aksem) will boost border control, especially in East Malaysia, said Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.

The Deputy Prime Minister chaired a high-level meeting on security and border control and one of the four briefing papers that were presented was on drafting Rela into border control activities.
