Guan Eng’s graft trial date postponed

GEORGE TOWN: The date of the corruption trial of Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng and businesswoman Phang Li Koon has been postponed pending the Court of Appeal’s decision on whether to declare Section 62 of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) Act as unconstitutional.

High Court judge Datuk Hadhariah Syed Ismail said on Monday that the trial could not start until the decision was made.
