Shahrir Samad: Perlis should resolve conversion law issues

JOHOR BARU: The Perlis state government should resolve issues surrounding the move to amend the law to allow unilateral conversion of a child's religion, said  Barisan Nasional Backbenchers Club (BNBC) chairman Tan Sri Shahrir Abd Samad (pic).

“Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Seri Azalina Othman Said has pointed out that as far as the Government is concerned, the Federal Constitution overrides state laws," said Shahrir.
