JB hospital fire: Dr Wee offers condolences


PETALING JAYA: MCA deputy president Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong has offered his condolences to the families of those killed in Tuesday morning's fire at the intensive care unit (ICU) of Sultanah Aminah Hospital, Johor Baru. 

"I have directed Johor MCA to mobilise their Crisis Relief Squad of MCA (CRSM) and I have also asked MCA vice-president Datin Paduka Chew Mei Fun to leave for Johor Baru immediately to help as best as she can," said he said in a Facebook post. 

Dr Wee, who is also Johor MCA chairman, said that he is praying for the safety of all affected even though he is currently out of the country.
