MCA: Set up Asean task force to resolve Abu Sayyaf threat

PETALING JAYA: MCA has called on Malaysia and Asean to set up a joint task force to deal with the Abu Sayyaf problem and resolve the biggest security threat off Sabah’s coast.

Party central committee member Datuk Paul Kong Sing Chu (pic) said Malaysia must take advantage of its position as Asean chairman to form the task force comprising relevant countries and draw emergency plans to uproot the terrorist group.
