KUALA LUMPUR: MCA will postpone its party elections due this year to focus on the General Election.

Party president Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai said the decision to postpone the elections was unanimously approved at the party's central committee meeting on Sunday.

“The party polls will be postponed to after the next general election,” he told a press conference after chairing meeting at Wisma MCA here.

The last party election was held in December 2013, with Liow winning the presidency. The 14th general election is scheduled to be held in 2018.
