SUB-Inspector Alias Yahya (pic) was merely three months into his job as bodyguard of then Defence Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak when he informed his boss that he would be getting married on Merdeka Day in 1991.
His boss was rather surprised with the request as S/I Alias had made no mention of his plans and only told just him three days before the big day.
