Woman can’t register baby with hubby’s surname

A WOMAN could not register her newborn baby using her husband’s surname on the birth certificate as her husband, who works in London as a chef, could not be present at the National Registration Department, Sin Chew Daily reported.

Chin Siew Lee from Hulu Selangor said she had no choice but to register her third son Zhe Yu using her family name instead of using her husband’s surname.
