IPOH: Kollywood film Kabali is set to have some "Malaysian flavour", with three locals actors sharing screen time with Indian superstar Rajinikanth.

Actors Datuk Rosyam Nor, Norman Hakim and Zack Taipan will start shooting in India, Saturday, as confirmed by Malik Streams Corporation managing director Abdul Malik Dasthigeer.

He said the film would resume shooting in India from Saturday until Jan 15, and will be back in Malaysia on Jan 20 to continue shooting for 50 days.

Abdul Malik also confirmed that Asian superstar Jet Li will be the villain in the movie.

The movie, directed by Pa. Ranjith, features Rajinikanth in the role of a don, inspired by the story of a real-life gangster.

Kabali is Rajinikanth's 159th film and is expected to be released in April next year.
