TELUK INTAN: A man is believed to have drowned after falling into a crocodile-infested river near Batu 6 here.
A Fire and Rescue Department spokesman said they received a call at about 8.25pm about a man falling off his boat after a fishing trip on Thursday.
It is learnt that Zainal Abu Yamin, 51, was travelling back to a jetty after the fishing trip.
"He was with a friend, police sergeant known only as Azmi, who was on another boat," the spokesman said. Zainal was following Azmi.
"We were informed that the river was infested with crocodiles and was dangerous to travel alone," he added.
A search and rescue has been formed.
