DAP should move beyond Chinese community, says newly appointed Malay leader

MALACCA: DAP should no longer be a Chinese-centric political party if the leadership is against politicians resorting to racially-tinged policies, said newly-minted Malacca DAP deputy chairman Norhizam Hassan Baktee.

The 50-year-old is the first Malay to occupy a key position in the state DAP after he was selected by the new state DAP chairman Tey Kok Kiew as soon as the party elections concluded on Sunday evening.
