Woman vents anger on thief

A woman in Senawang, Negri Sembilan, is said to have hired eight gangsters to beat up a gardener she accused of having stolen two jewellery items from her home, reported Harian Metro.

During the recent incident, the 28-year-old man had his face and body stepped on by the gangsters.

On Nov 3, the woman had lodged a police report against the man for stealing six jewellery items from her house in Taman Sri Mawar.

When she realised the theft, the woman went to the man’s house to confront him.

However, the man only returned four items – a ring, an earring and two nose rings.

“The remaining two items were not returned, causing the woman to fly into a rage and take the man’s handphone.

“The woman told the man to return the items if he wanted his phone back, ” said a police source.

The source added that when the man went to her workplace to reclaim his phone two days later, he was told she had already sold it.

“The woman also asked the man to pay RM1,500 for the items stolen,” he said.

When the man could not do so, the gangsters beat him up. He later lodged a police report.

Muhammad Aniq Norazian passed away while receiving treatment at the Malacca Hospital.

During the 6.30pm incident, Muhammad Aniq was walking towards his school van when he was hit by an oncoming car. The school van would usually wait in front of SRJKC Bertam Ulu but on that day, the area was congested causing the driver to park further away.

> Kosmo! reported that villagers in Kampung Melayu, Kota Samarahan, on Wednesday caught and shot dead a crocodile they believed had eaten an old woman.

One of the villagers, Ali Baki, 56, said the reptile was lured into a trap via a chicken bait.

“We often spot the crocodile in the river and were worried. When the woman, a grandmother, was reported missing, we suspected she might have been eaten by the crocodile,” he said.

“However, no human remains were found when we cut open the crocodile,” he added.
