Bangkok in chaos as bomb goes off


BANGKOK: It was like being in a war zone. The air was filled with screaming sirens as police and rescue vehicles made their way through the crowded streets of the Thai capital in response to a bomb that went off near the popular Erawan Shrine here.

Shattered glass could be seen strewn al over the road, a result of the powerful blast that ripped through the busy central area of the city.
