Esscom screens 915 squatters in three-day blitz


SANDAKAN: Some 915 people living in squatter housing areas were screened during a three-day blitz by security force weeding out criminal elements and illegal immigrants in this Sabah east coast town.

Of the 915 screened, 323 were detained for further security screening before arresting a total 124 who had no travel documents, said Eastern Sabah Security Command (Esscom) special investigations director Sr Asst Comm Rosli Mohd Isa on Saturday.
