PETALING JAYA: A leaked video of Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin purportedly recounting a conversation he had with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak on 1MDB has gone viral.

The video clip, that appeared to be recorded on a mobile device, shows Muhyiddin sitting with several guests at his home.

The 53-second video, which was inaudible in certain parts, appeared to suggest that Muhyiddin had spoken to Najib about the allegations contained in a recent Wall Street Journal report.

Kedah Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Mukhriz Mahathir and former Umno supreme council member Tan Sri Abdul Kadir Sheikh Fadzir were among those present in the clip.

Muhyiddin entertained several guests on Tuesday evening after it was announced that he had been removed as Deputy Prime Minister and Education Minister.

When contacted by The Star Online, former Umno supreme council member Abdul Kadir confirmed visiting Muhyiddin's house on Tuesday for "almost two hours".

"We had a private and casual chat among old friends. But I can't confirm what private and personal conversation was held," he said.

"There were a lot of people around, and we talked about all sorts of subjects," he added.

When asked if he was aware of someone filming the conversation, he said that he did not know if someone was recording but said that he saw many people taking pictures.

"I heard people warning: 'Jangan record. Jangan tangkap gambar' (don't record, don't take pictures)," he said.
