Lantern makers the stars of festive spirit

KUALA KANGSAR: While some Muslims have the pelita panjut (traditional bamboo lamp) fixed outside their homes here, others hang star-shaped lanterns to light up their lawns.

To take advantage of this trend, a nephew-uncle team has been busy making such lanterns since the beginning of Ramadan at their village in Kampung Kota Lama Kiri here.
