MACC denies slow Aussie purchase probe

PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission has denied that it was slow to act on the controversial purchase of Dudley House in 2013 along with the property on Swanston Street in Melbourne by Mara’s investment arm Mara Inc Sdn Bhd.

In a statement yesterday to refute the allegations made by Gelang Patah MP Lim Kit Siang, the commission’s deputy chief commissioner (operations) Datuk Seri Mohd Shukri Abdull said it was untrue that MACC had been investigating the matter since last December.
