Fighting to keep sources confidential

KUALA LUMPUR: A journalist is fighting to maintain the confidentiality of sources, appealing for the right to do so to the Court of Appeal.

The Star journalist S. Tarshini had applied to be released from testifying in the terrorism trial of Yazid Sufaat and Muhammad Hilmi Hasim. However, the High Court on May 11 dismissed the application, ruling that her testimony was relevant to the case and ought to be maintained.
