Wan Azizah confirms she will be opposition leader

KUALA LUMPUR: PKR president Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail confirms she will be appointed opposition leader.

"The other two parties have given my name as opposition leader," she said.

"Yes, I have been appointed the opposition leader," Wan Azizah told reporters, when pressed if she accepted their nomination.

The Permatang Pauh MP added that a statement will be issued following her swearing in on May 18.

PKR deputy president Mohamed Azmin Ali was reported as saying PKR's partners in Pakatan Rakyat, PAS and DAP, had agreed with the appointment Wan Azizah as pact leader in Parliament.
