Words used true in substance and in fact, says Wong

SHAH ALAM: The words complained of in Perkasa chief’s suit against Star Publications (M) Bhd group managing director Datuk Seri Wong Chun Wai (pic) are “incapable of defaming him” because it was true in substance and in fact.

In his grounds to support the application to strike out the suit, Wong, who is also chief executive officer, said the libel action by Datuk Ibrahim Ali was founded upon the publication of an article titled “A Mind-Boggling Spin” in The Star newspaper.
