GEORGE TOWN: Cab-booking app MyTeksi is offering a flat rate of RM5 for all rides within Penang island.
MyTeksi Penang city manager Loh Ji Yuan said the promotion is valid until March 31.
“We want to change the perception of the public that Penang’s taxi drivers are rude or tend to overcharge.
“We launch this promotion to regain the trust of the public,” he said at the launching ceremony at Esplanade here.
He added that the promotion is for all taxi rides booked through the MyTeksi app to anywhere on the island.
“It’s also available 24 hours a day,” he said.
