RoS: No objection to meeting Kumaar but not as MIC sec-gen

PUTRAJAYA: The Registrar of Societies (RoS) has no objection to meeting Datuk G. Kumaar Aamaan, who staged a hunger strike at its office grounds, but not in his capacity as MIC secretary-general.

"Since there is still a controversy over the position of the MIC central committee, the RoS cannot recognise him (Kumaar) as a member of the Central Working Committee (CWC), who has been appointed as the new secretary-general," said RoS director-general Mohammad Razin Abdullah in a statement on Friday.
