Police: Sirul left for Australia in October

KUALA LUMPUR: Kpl Sirul Azhar Umar, one of two former Special Action Unit officers convicted of the murder of Mongolian model Altantuya Shaariibuu in 2006, left for Australia in October last year, police have confirmed.

This was confirmed by Kuala Lumpur CID chief Datuk Mohmad Salleh after checking the Malaysian Immigration Department records.
